Tikkun Boker Shavuot 5783
This year's program is generously sponsored by Jen and Gershon Stark in honor of Gershon's Bike 4 Chai (https://www.bike4chai.com/gershonstark). Sponsorships are available at the following levels: Torah - $360 Mitzvot - $180 Chukim U'Misphatim - $54 All sponsors will be announced at the event! To sponsor, click below. In addition to teaching by R' Dolinger, this year will also feature the return of CBS' sermon slam. Participants are asked to register no later than May 24th at noon by e-mailing the Rabbi at [email protected]. All entrants must give a sermon related to the theme, "Not with Our Ancestors Alone - Personal Religious Journeys." Each person will have seven (7) minutes to present, must quote at least one source (broadly defined), and should try to keep it real :)
Lastly, we are excited to announce that we'll be partnering with Sweet & Salty Farm (where CBS member Glenn Sherman works as a cheesemaker!) for a Shavuot buying club. Pickup will be at the Jewish Alliance on Wednesday, May 24th, during the afternoon (exact time TBA). Self-serve pickup will be available in the conference room across from the bathrooms until 7:00 pm, but it is advised to come before 5:00 pm as the building will be packed (and parking difficult) due to Zimriyah. If you're attending Zimriyah, feel free to pick up your order then. All orders must be placed by 7:00 pm EST on Monday, May 22nd. The link to order is here: (https://sweet-salty-farm.localline.ca/congregation-beth-sholom) Sweet & Salty Farm is a small dairy in Little Compton, Rhode Island. We farm a beautiful piece of land that goes right down to the ocean’s edge. We milk a small herd of grass-fed Jersey cows and process all of our own milk into yogurt and cheese at our on-farm creamery. Our yogurt and cheeses are certified Kosher by Lighthouse Kosher. |
