Talmud - Masechet Brachot - 6th Chapter (Keitzad Mevarchin) - led by Rabbi Dolinger: Tuesday nights, 9:00 to 10:00 PM on the stage in the social hall. The shiur is open to men and women of all ages. We are exploring the Talmudic passages dealing with brachot (blessings) on food beforehand and the birkat hamazon (grace after meals) afterward. Class is a mix of source based study and heated discussion.

Important Jewish Texts You've Probably Never Read - led by Rabbi Dolinger. Sunday mornings, 8:45 until 9:30 AM in the Rabbi's study next to the main office. This is an in depth textual study of important Jewish texts in the original Hebrew. All levels are welcome and all words and phrases will be translated. We will study different texts throughout the year, and are beginning with Shaar HaGemul authored by the Ramban. This text addresses the meaning and significance of Rosh Hashanah, reward and punishment, the messiah, the afterlife, and more

Guest Speakers: Every week we have the opportunity to study every aspect of rich texts and traditions.  From Gemara shiurim to contemporary thinkers it is all here.  Guest speakers from around the world have spoken from the Beth Sholom pulpit at our many annual Shabbatonim. Some of our scholar-in-resident shabbatonim have featured Professor Nathan Aviezer, Rabbi Ozer Glickman, Rabbi David Horwitz, Rabbi Natan Slifkin, Dr Marc Shapiro and similar luminaries. This year we also had an inaugural day of learning for women with a yoetzet halacha from Nishmat's Keren Ariel Institute.
